Air/Gas Filter Cartridges

Design and Applications
We offer a complete range of Zander filter cartridges with integrated prefiltration,
including high end units. High end filters suggest a large pleated surface in combination with a maximum cavity
volume of 96%. This provides for a very low differential pressure which cuts operating costs.
The unique four-phase pleated element design is effective
in trapping particulate and residual moisture to 0.01 micron and residual oil to 0.005 ppm at 99.9999% efficiency
while providing the longest service life (compared with traditional rolled elements) and lowest cost of operation
in the business.
A tie rod construction guarantees firmly secured elements, even with pulsating system pressures.
Therefore self-releasing end caps (as with conventional elements) are excluded. Another advantage is the use of
coalescing media and top-quality stainless steel support cylinders inside and outside.

Benefits
• Due to unique pleating technology Zander filter elements are very economical to operate and
maintain as compared with conventional wrapped filters. For example, a 200 HP compressor with a pleated filter will save about $1200/year on energy
if a differential pressure is reduced by 3 PSI (based on 8000 running hours/year and $0.075/kWh). Besides, a lower operating pressure diminishes wear and
maintenance of the compressor itself.
• Up to 60% longer filter element service life.
• You can also benefit from Zander quality in almost all other manufactures' housings: Ultrafilter, Hankison, Walker, Deltech, Hiross, Domnick
Hunter. Please refer to interchangeability tables.
Specification
| Filter Type |
Description |
| Series V |
The prefilter range mainly takes out particles from the compressed air. The microfilter
features a long service life with constant efficiency. The efficiency is 99.99% of all particles of 3 micron
and larger. There are fine particles smaller than 3 micron, such as dust and especially oil aerosols; they
need to be filtered out by a fine coalescing filter. |
| Ecomist Series |
Removes particles down to 1 micron,
including water and oil, providing a maximum remaining aerosol content of 0.5 ppm. |
| Series Z |
Efficiency 99.99% at 1 micron. Oil retention down to approximately 0.5 ppm at 100 psig and
68°F (20°C). |
| Series Y |
Efficiency 99.99% at 0.01 micron. Oil retention down to approximately 0.1 ppm at 100 psig
and 68°F (20°C). |
| Series X |
Efficiency 99.9999% at 0.01 micron. Oil retention down to approximately 0.01 ppm at 100
psig and 68°F (20°C). Performance is validated. If an even better quality of compressed air to remove the
oil vapours, then an adsorption type filter is required. |
| Series A |
Incorporates an activated carbon adsorption bed together with an integrated dust filter.
Vapour removal to 0.005 ppm at 100 psig and 68°F (20°C). It is always preceded by a microfilter series XP to
remove oil aerosols. |
| Series ZP |
Efficiency 99.9999% at 1 micron. Oil retention is 0.5 ppm at 100 psig and 68°F (20°C). |
| Series XP |
Efficiency 99.99999% at 0.01 micron. Oil retention is 0.01 ppm at 100 psig and 68°F (20°C).
If an even better quality of compressed air to remove the oil vapours, then an adsorption type filter is
required. |
| Series XP4 |
Efficiency 99.99999% at 0.01 micron. Oil retention is 0.001 ppm at 100 psig and 68°F
(20°C). |
